Merry Merry

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We certainly had a fantastic one...three days in a row!

Christmas Eve morning we went to Zachary to exchange gifts and eat with the Jacobs. Jutta, Jamie and their babies, Sadie and Mr. Jingles came home this year for Christmas. It was great to have everyone together! We made a gingerbread house which was quite a work of art and of course we enjoyed Ms Mildred's delicious cooking!
Our nieces used their own money to buy us all gifts this year. They bought me a LSU snuggie (they know I'm always cold) and Uncle Jim a LSU hat. We loved them!

After we left the Jacobs', we went to the Fullerton's to give Whitney and Katie their Christmas gifts. They were so cute, squealing when they opened each gift. I think their gifts were a hit! :)

Next, we went back to New Roads and had gumbo with Mama and Pee. Even Ms. Jennifer stopped by for gumbo, dessert and coffee with us. We opened gifts after we ate. I think you can see how excited Jim was about his new Jambalaya pot and burner and other cooking utensils!

Christmas morning we woke up early and went to 8am Mass with Mama. When we got home, we opened our stockings :)
Christmas morning we headed back to Zachary to have Christmas with the Tolers and Herrings. We got to see Dellie with all her Santa gifts. We also exchanged presents and Mr Randy cooked everyone breakfast. It was a lot of fun!

Christmas Night we headed back to the Island. The Majors and the Jacobs came out to spend the night with us. We had dinner, popped fireworks, lit a bonfire and played games until late into the night. We had a blast!

O'Meara Christmas was Monday in Mandeville. We missed the Yamkovenkos and the Marsolans but we had a good time visiting with everyone.
My Grandpa wore this vest on Christmas every year. After he passed away, the grandchildren take turns (in age order) wearing the vest. This year was Kevin's turn to "be grandpa". When it is your turn, you wear the vest, sit in the big chair and collect all the trash from everyone.

I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and that 2012 brings you wonderful joy and great times!
