We spent the weekend in Austin visiting with our friends Adam, Angela and Craig. We drove in after work on Friday and left Sunday after brunch. We had a very fun-filled weekend and had GORGEOUS weather the entire time. The guys boiled about 120 lbs of crawfish on Saturday and everyone said they were amazing. Sadly, I am still not over my crawfish aversion...boooooo... I also brought our new camera and had fun playing around with settings and taking lots of pictures.
Here are the highlights...

On our way home, we played tourists and stopped at a bunch of places along the way. More like, I really really wanted to do this and since it was Mother's Day, Hubby humored me. :) Our first stop was at
Berdoll pecan farms and country store on Hwy 71 near Bastrop, Tx. We saw the store on our way in and noticed the HUGE scrolling sign stating they had a 24-hour pecan vending machine. This grabbed our attention, so of course, we had to stop by on Sunday. The store was open so we didn't have to buy anything from the vending machine, but we did make quite a killing inside with all the yummy treats! :)

| 24-hours! You can even buy pecan pie out of the machine- no lie!! |
 |
| We learned her name was Ms. Pearl and had to pose with her! |
Our next stop was Antiquing in Smithville. Smithville, Tx is where the movie Hope Floats was filmed! They are VERY proud of this and in fact have little signs every few feet just in case you didn't know that was where the movie was filmed!

Our next stop was near Wallice, Tx. We had passed this building with the cool coke mural and I knew it would be a perfect photo shoot spot! I got the Hubbs to snap a few pictures of me and the lil baby bump here. I have more, but will be saving them for my 1st Trimester post next week, so stay tuned for that! :)

| Just a preview of one of the pics we took. |
Our last stop before heading home was also in Wallice, Tx. It was this old church from 1892, Guardian Angel Catholic Church. It was so old and beautiful. It even had a very nice prayer grotto with candles. Hubby and I lit a candle for Baby Braxton and Baby J and said a little prayer before heading home.

We had a really really great trip! We got to spend some good QT with friends we hadn't seen in quite a while, meet some awesome new people and get to make lots of memories along the way. I can't wait to one day tell Baby J about all the fun things we did when he or she was in my tummy.
