5 months!

5 months. To me, that sounds WAY older than 4 months did! I cannot believe my little man is growing up so fast. Slow down baby boy, we can barely keep up with you!

Growth Stats:
 16 lbs 0 oz and 26 1/4 inches long
This puts him in the 25-50% for weight and 50-75% for length.
For a recap here are his stats from birth:
Birth: 8 lb 0 oz and 20 3/4 inches long
1 month: 10 lbs 6 oz and 22 inches long
2 months: 12 lb 8 oz and 23 1/4 inches long
3 months: 13 lbs 8 oz and 24 inches long
4 months: 14 lbs 14 oz and 25 3/4 inches long

Hair/Eyes: Trey has lost all his "old man" hair in the back and now just has one short layer of super fine brown hair that is growing longer and longer. His eyes are still dark blue.

Nicknames: Mostly just Big Man, Big Guy, Bud, Buddy or T Bud

What He's Wearing: 6 month, some 6-9 month, size 1-2 shoes and size 3 diapers.

Sleep Habits: Still a great sleeper! Trey still goes down between 8-9pm and sleeps until 5-6am. (9-10 hours straight each night) Mommy and Daddy love our great sleeper!!

He usually takes 1-2 good long naps during the day (1-2 hours each) then some smaller cat naps between.

He is still sleeping in his crib. Usually in the top left corner of the crib with his head pressed up against the rails. Some mornings he has a red mark on his face but I figure it's better than having his face pressed up against a bumper!

I also found him like this one morning- so much for not getting his legs stuck!

What He Eats: Still exclusively breastfeeding! So happy about my decision to do so. I still think we will hold off on any solids (including cereal) until closer to 6 months.

Still pumping once in the morning, twice at work and once before bed. This gives me what Trey eats while I am at work plus another 5 oz or so to freeze daily- yay! I have been freezing about 15-20 ounces a week.

Trey takes 4, 5 oz bottles while at Sara's house during the day. He has been trying to hold his bottle lately- too cute! I hear this is life-changing when they can hold their own bottles ;)

He has been biting me less frequently now, but he still does it from time to time. Fussing at him does no good- he just smiles or laughs at me. He also sometimes gets distracted and pulls away while nursing so we try to be quiet to avoid him hurting me. He is a busy body while he nurses- constantly playing with my shirt, hands, hair, necklace, anything he can get his little hands on.

Daily Routine: We still usually start our day between 6-6:30 am.

Trey continues to goes down for the night between 8-9 pm after PJ's, lotion and and nursing for the last time.

We still bathe him twice a week due to his dry skin and it seems to not dry him out too much. It's not like he gets dirty anyway, lol! But he does now really like baths in the bathtub that my grandpa Boo bought me when I was a baby.

Personality:
Trey continues to laugh a lot, usually when we act like were going to "get him" and when we tickle him.

Although he is super smiley most of the time, I think he gets over stimulated very easily. Sometimes he does not like to be around big loud crowds and other times he is perfectly ok with it. It just depends on his mood.  Jim said he was the same way when he was little, so I guess he did inherit something from his Dad afterall ;) I guess he will have to get over this to attend any O'Meara family functions ;) am I right?!

Motor Milestones: He can now easily "inch-worm" or roll his way anywhere he needs or wants to go. We have had to lay out blankets on our rug to extend his scooting area, but they usually do us no good. He somehow always ends up on the tile floor or almost under the couch. He is SO fast. You look away for a second and he's gone!

He can also get up on all fours and rock. I don't think it will be too long until we are chasing this little one around the house!

At Easter, he rolled over multiple times to get to where Peet was sitting on the couch then smiled at her so she would pick him up- little stinker!

He is still working on teeth. Everything continues to go straight into his mouth.

Last month he discovered his feet but he has REALLY enjoyed them this week. He puts them in his mouth, kicks them constantly and uses them to scoot around on the floor.

We're still working on sitting. He sits up really well in the bumbo chair and in his excersaucer. He can also sit on his own with assistance.

Trey is also blowing spit bubbles and raspberries now. I will have to upload some videos but I am too lazy tonight ;)

What Trey says:
He can now "coo" and "goo", squeal and laugh.

Favorite Activities:
Trey still really likes to go up in the air and play airplane.

He still likes going on walks in the stroller. We recently started using the jogging stroller and he likes it too. Can't wait to downgrade to the little umbrella stroller and put this big beast up for a while!

Trey also still enjoys his play mat, especially with a playmate :)

He now enjoys working out with his dumbbell rattle too :)

LOVES his teether from the Easter Bunny!

Hangs out in his pack n play in the mornings while I get ready for work!

His favorite activities haven't changed much since last month except he has added a great love of being outdoors!

He LOVES to be outside, especially when we swing under our patio on the big swing.

With the weather being so nice we have been spending lots of time out there lately.

He also likes to be worn in a baby carrier facing outward. He will just laugh and kick his feet the whole time, especially if he sees himself in a mirror.

He has recently really gotten into watching baby videos and occasionally even baseball with Daddy!

Friends: Cousin time!

Just a boy and his dog...

Trey with his entourage- the Bonvillians!

Sadie time! :)

What we did this month:
Celebrated Easter with Grammy, Peet and the Tolers.

Went home for Trey's baptism- what a special and beautiful day! We cannot wait to teach Trey about the Catholic faith, God and the church.

We got to visit with Ms Whitney on her birthday!! (Even though Trey fell asleep during his party).

Trey got to spend some sweet sweet quality time with his Aunt Sarrie.

Uncle Adam and Sampson came to visit!

We went to the park for the first time and Trey tried out the swings. They were a hit!

We're looking forward to Grammy keeping Trey this week while Sara and her family are on vacation and looking forward to spending time with both Grammy and Peet this weekend! Also looking forward to celebrating both Mama and Quinn's big birthdays on May 2nd!
