The Hubs had to go into work for a few minutes today so lil T and I tagged along. His community has a nice little park right on a lake so we played there until he was done.
On the way home, we stopped at Froberg Farms- one of our most favorite places to by fresh produce.
The strawberries were ready and we had so much fun picking them with our little man.
He was so excited to hold the bucket.
The second his little feet hit the ground he was running and he didn't stop the whole time we were there!
Hubby showed him how to pick them and he actually picked a couple.
He really liked putting them in the bucket...then taking them all out...rinse and repeat...so the bucket-holding got left up to me or Jim instead.
Prime example of what he did. Up and down each row!
But he humored his Mama and stopped for a photo or two. :)
He got a little crazy at the end so Daddy-o corralled him with a shoulder-ride.
By the time we left he was getting tired and I snapped this adorable pic as we walked back up to pay.
We needed a few things for the week so we made a quick pass through the store on our way out.
We came out with a good haul- all really pretty and BIG berries! They were $2.25/lb which I didn't think was too bad considering how much the ones in the store cost right now. We ended up with a little under 4 lbs in our bucket.
The best part is that you keep the bucket and can reuse it over and over. (It's a $1 fee to buy the bucket the first time).
Trey ate some of the berries with his supper tonight.
They were SO sweet and delicious! I know this because he actually shared a bite or two with me :)
YUMMM!!
Just look at that face :)
We will definitely be going back before the strawberries are all gone. They are SO good. I'm already thinking of was we can eat them this week.
Looking forward to getting these 4 days of work over with to start our weekend in NOLA!!! :)
