Growth Stats:
16 lb 1 oz and 26 inches long
1 month: 10 lbs 15 oz and 22 1/4 inches long
2 months: 13 lbs 13 oz and 23 1/2 inches long
3 months: 15 lb 2 oz and 25 inches long
This puts him in the 75% for weight and 90% for length.
From his 4 month appt: Dr. Pocsik is thrilled with his growth. She is also very happy with his development. I asked her to take a look at his head as I think it's a little flat in the back but she said it looks ok and she will re-evaluate in another 2 months at his 6 month checkup. I asked her about solids since he doesn't seem to be filling up enough at night anymore. She is leaving that decision up to us but she recommended we try to "tank him up" with a couple ounces from a bottle after his last nursing session of the night. He got three shots and one oral vaccine and took them all like a champ!
He is really chunking up and getting lots of rolls!
Hair/Eyes:
His little hair is just about all gone at this point. It is very very thin and he has just a little bit of it left. His eyes continue to lighten up and we think they will be blue.

He is still sleeping in the rock n play in our room but I am thinking of transitioning him to his crib soon. At Cathy's house he sleeps in the rock n play or pack n play.
He slept half a night in his crib but once he woke to eat I was lazy and kept him in our room.
He prefers to be held to fall asleep. I am going to start putting him down awake soon so we can work on that.
Right at the end of month 3, he started waking up MULTIPLE times a night. It has been really really rough. We have some new techniques to try from Dr. Pocsik and I will update on this at his next month update. Hopefully it will not be a problem too much longer because it is sure rough on this mama!!
What He Eats:
Breast milk :) He's still a nursing champ. He nurses on both sides at each feed and normally drains both. He is very efficient at this point. He smiles when he assumes the nursing position and he gets excited when he hears the "click" of a nursing bra.
He is still drinking about 4 oz at a time from a bottle. He takes 2-3 bottles while at Cathy's house during the day.
I am still avoiding most dairy as I suspect he has a MPI (milk protein intolerance) like his big brother did. He is not as sensitive as Trey was so I am just cutting back at this point.
What He Says:
He has really started to coo and talk to us and it is just so precious. He also hollers at us if we are not paying attention to him or if he is in a room all alone and wants someone to come and pick him up. It's precious.
Daily Routine:
He still eats every 2-3 hours during the day. Night feeds have become more like 1-2 times a night but hopefully won't be this way for long. I am not sure if he's going through a growth spurt or what is going on but I would like him to go back to sleeping through the night, hehe. He still cat naps then takes 1 long nap during the day. The day usually ends with bath (we bathe him about every other night or every two nights since his skin is so dry) lotion and pj's then nursing for the last time.

Motor Milestones:
Still rolling and can now roll to move around on the floor or from one end of his play mat to the other.
He has discovered his feet! They are his new favorite toy!

He has mastered the bumbo.

He loves grabbing at anything actually, toys, his feet, blankets, you name it, he wants to grab it with his hands.

Huge smiles and laughing out loud have also continued this month- so sha!
He continues to chew and suck on his hands. We have given him a cold teether a couple times and he really liked it. He may be in the beginning stages of teething...oh no!
He is really really trying to sit up on his own. He is constantly doing little baby crunches to try and sit up; it won't be long!
He is doing great with sitting with assistance and is much more stable now.
He loves the bouncy and is so tall his feet easily touch the ground!
He has started to say something that sounds like "mama" although I know he is really not talking yet. His little cooing is definitely changing to sound more and more like words!
Anything New:
Since Fall weather is officially here (yay!) we have been spending much more time outside. Wes loves being outside but usually ends up falling asleep while swinging.

He went swimming for the first time at the Derouen's house! It was a little chilly so he only stayed in a couple minutes but he liked it and kept kicking his little feet :)

He can now focus on things and usually looks right into the camera when you take a picture of him.

Likes: Taking his vitamin D drops, taking a bath, his paci, having his head and eyebrows rubbed, bouncing/swaying, standing up and pushing up with his feet.
Dislikes: Staying in one spot too long unless he's asleep, the snot sucker!!!, being cold, having lotion put on him, getting shots (duh!)
