A week later, I am getting around to posting about our year in 2012. Better late than never right? I have just been a tad busy, tending to a newborn, you know...
Anyway, I borrowed this idea from my cousin Katherine to post monthly about what we did in 2012, so here goes!
January
We went to NOLA for the National Championship game and I served as bridesmaid in our good friends Anne and Ryan's wedding
February
I served in another good friend's wedding (Emily and Andrew) so blessed to have all these beautiful girls in my life!
March
We had a bachelorette party for Carissa at our house and went out afterwards. We also found out we were pregnant!!! (March 24th) and attended our friends Carissa and Shawn's wedding that night. We only told our moms and sisters at this point that we were pregnant. We also threw Quinn's baby shower (a diaper shower) at our house to welcome the little love!
April
We went to the doctor and confirmed our pregnancy (April 16th) and announced our pregnancy to the rest of our family. We purchased our new camera and went to town taking photos! Our family got heartbreaking news that Baby Braxton Bergeron was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Type II and we all started praying!
May
Our second godchild, Quinn, was born on May 2nd (my Mom and all the furry babies' birthdays as well!), Lucky turned 11 years old and we traveled to Austin for a crawfish boil with Adam, Craig and Angela and their friends. We also went home and spent the weekend visiting with Emily and Derek who were also newly pregnant so Emily and I celebrated in the blow up pool with crystal-light Margaritas!
June
We celebrated with Coy and Liza at their baby shower to welcome their new baby boy, Ryker and we also celebrated Adelle's second birthday with a Mini Mouse theme!
July
Les, the babies and I went to the 4th of July parade in Kemah. We traveled to Mandeville for my cousin Kevin and Amber's wedding and we met sweet baby Ronan for the first time! We found out we were having a boy and decided on a name... Trey is the 12th boy in a row born into the O'Meara side of the family! My grandma's house started to be torn down which was a very bittersweet experience. We also started on Trey's nursery.
August
We traveled home for the 12th annual Janelle LaCombe Memorial weekend. My cousin Sarah's baby Braxton was born on August 17th and joined many of our loved ones in heaven 7 hours later. He is now all of our, but especially Trey's special guardian angel. We also celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary.
September
We traveled to Miami for Adam and Angela's wedding. I also went home for Emily's baby shower for sweet little Jolie!
October
I went to a baby shower for my friend Mimi and Baby Xzaiver. We went to the Footprints Forever 5k in memory of Braxton. We went to the LSU vs. South Carolina game when I was 8 months pregnant. We also celebrated the 3rd year in our home and went to the pumpkin patch... But the most fun was that the Baby showers for Baby Trey began!!!
November
Jim celebrated his 31st birthday. We had our 4th Annual Fry Fest at the Tolers, Baptized our godson, Quinn, celebrated Thanksgiving at our house in Texas, went to the Christmas tree farm to pick out Trey's first tree. Hubby surprised me with an amazing gift- a farmhouse table built from wood taken from my grandparent's house that was torn down and it is GORGEOUS! BUT hands down, the best thing that happened all year also happened in November- we welcomed our son on November 27th and we got to go home on my 28th birthday on November 29th! Our good friends Emily and Derek welcomed their baby girl, Jolie, on November 30th.
December
Trey met Santa at Bass Pro. He had many many visitors come to love on him. He went on his first outing to Adelle's Christmas program at her school. We spent our first Christmas ever in Texas and even though we had some of our immediate family here with us we really missed our family and friends back home :(. Trey turned one month old on December 27th. Our niece, Mary, got married on December 29th. Last but not least we brought in the new year with our friends here and watched a disappointing loss for LSU.
We are so excited to see what 2013 has in store for us! It is crazy to think next year at Christmas time we will have a one year old!
P.S. Happy 3 kings day and twelfth night! Let Mardi Gras season begin!!!
