Growth Stats:
14 lbs 14 oz and 25 3/4 inches long
This puts him in the 50% for weight and 90% for length.
For a recap here are his stats from birth:
Birth: 8 lb 0 oz and 20 3/4 inches long
1 month: 10 lbs 6 oz and 22 inches long
2 months: 12 lb 8 oz and 23 1/4 inches long
3 months: 13 lbs 8 oz and 24 inches long
4 month wellness checkup:
Dr P was pleased with the little guy's growth. In fact, she recommended that we continue to exclusively breastfeed until 6 months (I actually just saw on the news this week that the AAP is recommending exclusively breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life). She said if we wanted to start solids we were welcome to, but that's completely up to us and is something Jim and I need to talk about... I had been considering keeping him on only breast milk for two more months, but wanted to talk to her first before making my decision.
Trey's little hemangioma is the same size, or maybe a little smaller. Dr. P said they usually start to shrink after 4 months so that's good.
She recommended I continue to limit dairy for another month and then start to slowly add some dairy products back into my diet to see how he does.
He got his second round of shots and was a fussy little bunny afterwards for sure. He had seriously bad gas (not sure if it was related to the shots or not) when Grammy and Peet picked him up from Sara's house but with some good ole snuggles and rocking he was all better :)

Hair/Eyes: Trey has lost all his "old man" hair in the back and now just has one short layer of super fine brown hair. His eyes are still dark blue.
Nicknames: Mostly just Big Man, Big Guy, Bud or T Bud
What He's Wearing: Mostly 6 month, some 3-6 month clothes still fit, but not many. He is still wearing size 2 diapers.
Sleep Habits: Still a great sleeper! Around 13 weeks, Trey moved his bedtime up from 10-11pm to 8-9 pm. He continues to sleep a 7-8 hour stretch, wakes up to eat then sleeps another 3 hour stretch. He usually wakes up around 5 after going to sleep at 8-9. Mommy and Daddy love our great sleeper!!
He usually takes 1-2 good long naps during the day (1-2 hours each) then some smaller cat naps between. Some days he is having so much fun at Sara's house that he only takes cat naps during the day. On those days, he goes to bed really early!
Sometimes he falls asleep in the strangest positions...
He is still sleeping in his crib. We had to buy him a mesh bumper as he spins all around during the night and we have found his arms and legs sticking through the crib slats on multiple occasions. This made us very nervous...but not as nervous as his new sleeping position...on his tummy! Each night he rolls himself over onto his tummy to sleep. We just pray that as long as he can roll onto his tummy he can roll onto his back, but it still makes for a nervous Mommy and Daddy! We've also been finding him lately sleeping with his feet crossed- so cute!
What He Eats: Still exclusively breastfeeding! So happy about my decision to do so.
I have had to start pumping since returning to work and Sara gives him bottles of expressed milk during the day. I pump twice at work; once around 11 and once around 3 or 4. I am usually able to pump 14-16 ounces at work which when combined with what I pump at home is usually exactly what Trey eats while at Sara's house. I have started pumping twice at home daily and have been freezing that extra milk to further build up our freezer stash.
Obviously when he nurses I have no idea how much he eats, but he does usually nurse for 15-20 minutes on average. His eating schedule is every 2-3 hours during the day and eats 5 ounces when he takes a bottle.
Trey then goes down for the night between 8-9 pm after PJ's, lotion and and nursing for the last time.
Personality:
Trey has now started to laugh more. He usually laughs when we make silly faces at him but he also laughs because he is ticklish! His arms are particularly ticklish and he usually laughs hysterically while we get him dressed and undressed. It's the cutest thing! He is also ticklish on his upper thighs near his diaper. He squeals when we tickle him there.

Motor Milestones: He can now easily roll from back to tummy and visa versa- when he doesn't feel like doing tummy time, he just rolls over!
At 13 weeks he started grabbing his toys and at 14 weeks he started putting them in his mouth. He also started teething at 14 weeks...little man is full of drool most of the time and has on occasion bit mommy while nursing...OUCH!! We are hoping this stops soon...especially before he gets teeth!!
Also at 13 weeks he started trying to pull himself into a sitting position while sitting on the boppy pillow.
At 14 weeks he started touching our faces when we hold him or when I nurse him. It's so so so sweet.
At 14 weeks he started being able to sit in his bumbo chair without any assistance. This makes him look like SUCH a big boy...
At 15 weeks he started really mimicking noises and sounds we make. Check out this video!
Favorite Activities:
Hanging out under his play mat
Being rocked while Mommy sings "Rock Me Mama" :)
Going for rides in his stroller
"Standing" on our legs or on the ground.
We also got him a jumperoo/exersaucer (these things have so many different names!) and he LOVES it!
He pushes down on his little tip toes to make himself bounce up and down. It plays music and has lights which is so much fun!
"Flying" in the air. This makes him laugh over and over and over. (and lets Mama get in a good workout!)

Eating big people food! Kidding!! I am still torn on whether or not to start him on solids now or wait until 6 months, but I am SUPER excited to start making him some baby food very soon!

Anything New:
Milk Protein Allergy :( You can read more about this HERE.
He also has very dry skin and possibly some eczema. We have been using a special lotion and hydro-cortisone mixture which really seems to help.
We also have a teether! Around 14 weeks he started putting lots of things in his mouth including his hands and toys and he started drooling a lot. We have started to let him try the cold teethers and they really seem to make his gums feel better. He also is getting a special teether from the Easter Bunny...more on that later!
What we did this month:
Had TWO visits from Grammy and Peet!!!
First trip to the Houston Zoo (for a birthday party!)
2nd Crawfish boil (even though he was asleep in Quinn's crib by 8!)
Looking forward to Easter weekend and Trey's baptism next weekend!
