3 months!

Growth Stats: (unofficial as we do not go back to Dr. until 4 months)
roughly 13 lb 8 oz and 24 inches long!

This puts him in the 50% for both weight and length. For a recap here are his stats from birth:
Birth: 8 lb 0 oz and 20 3/4 inches long
1 month: 10 lbs 6 oz and 22 inches long
2 months: 12 lb 8 oz and 23 1/4 inches long

Even though it wasn't technically one of the standard growth-spurts, Trey definitely went through one at 10 weeks. He was eating every 1-1.5 hours and eating for longer (20 minutes on average). This lasted 2-3 days then he spent the 4th day sleeping all day and only waking up to eat. I think we are going to have a big healthy boy!! We also went through another growth spurt at 12 weeks which was minor compared to the 10 week one.

Hair/Eyes: Hair is still dark brown and he still seems to be losing the long hair in the back.

He still has just a little hair in the front and that big Major cowlick that his Mommy and Great Aunt Peet have!

His eyes are still dark blue but continue to get lighter.

Nicknames: Little Man/Big Man, Tee Bebe, Buddy, Turtle, Big Guy, T Bud, Peanut, Ta Toot, TaTootski

What He's Wearing: 3-6 month. Anything one-piece that is 3 months is too tight in length (like footed pj's or one piece outfits). Anything 3 month that is long sleeve, now looks like 3/4 sleeves, but we are rolling with it, as it won't be cold here (hopefully) for too much longer! We had to retire quite a few onesies and pj's a few weeks ago. He is also wearing size 2 diapers.

Sleep Habits: Still a good sleeper so very thankful for that!! Since 9.5 weeks old, he has consistently been sleeping through the night (7-8 hours a night) and sometimes going about 10 hours between feedings at night-time. There have been a handful of nights lately where he woke up once to eat and went right back to sleep.

If he eats any earlier than 9 or 10 pm, he is guaranteed to wake up during the night- weird- but eating anytime after 9-10 and he is usually good to go until morning.

He takes 2-3 good long naps during the day (1-2 hours each) then some smaller cat naps between. I am hoping to get more of an idea of a nap schedule for him now that he is a little older and will be at Sara's during the day.

At 11 weeks, we started talking about transitioning him to his crib in his room. Since he had consistently been sleeping through the night, we figured it was a good time and also I had to return to work the next week, so we didn't want to do any big transition while I was trying to get used to working again too. At 11 weeks and 2 days we put him down for the night in his crib in his room for the very first time and he slept all night and has been in there ever since!

What He Eats: Still exclusively breastfeeding! Yay us! I have read on baby sites that once you breastfeed for 3 months you are considered to have "Bronze Boobies". This term really makes me laugh, but makes me proud at the same time! :)

I have had to start pumping since returning to work and Sara gives him bottles of expressed milk during the day. I was a little worried about him having to take so many bottles during the day and keeping up my supply, etc, but so far so good. I started drinking "Mother's Milk Tea" to keep my supply from dropping just in case.

Obviously when he nurses I have no idea how much he eats, but he does usually nurse for 15-20 minutes on average. His eating schedule is every 2-3 hours during the day and eats 3-4 ounces when he takes a bottle. Every once in a while he will eat a 5 ounce bottle.

Daily Routine: We now start our day between 5-6 am. He sort of just began a new little schedule on his own. This schedule works out WONDERFULLY for me going back to work, so I'm very thankful for that.

At 12 weeks, Mommy had to go back to work, so I drop him off at Miss Sara's house between 8-8:15 am  and pick him up between 4:45-5 pm, except on Tuesdays when Daddy drops him off a little earlier. I pick him up in the evenings and hog him until Daddy gets home when I have to share ;)

Trey then goes down for the night between 9-10 pm after PJ's, lotion and and nursing for the last time.

Personality: Trey is becoming more and more silly as his little personality comes out. He is much more smiley now and usually will crack up with someone just being in his face smiling at him. It's pretty much adorable.

Then there's those "not so smiley" times too :)

He makes the absolute BEST "booday" face when he is mad. I seriously have never seen a better or more pitiful one in my life. I have been trying to get a good picture of one to share but here is the best one I've captured so far... CHECK OUT THAT LIP!

Motor Milestones: He is beginning to enjoy tummy time on the ground. He was doing tummy time on the boppy pillow but was using his little legs to try and catapult himself and "Evil Knievel" his way up and over the pillow so we had to retire the boppy to feeding-time only.

Trey can definitely not be left unattended unless he is strapped in- he is rolling onto his side and inching around on his little booty by kicking his legs out. We call this move the baby worm.

He still enjoys hanging out under his play mat and swinging at and kicking the toys hanging. He also grabbed a few toys around 12 weeks. He has started to hold his pacifier clip in his hand and also his soft toys that we put in his car seat with him.

He has discovered his tongue and likes to smack his lips and blow bubbles. It's pretty adorable.

Around 10 weeks, Trey started to mimic noises. Jim had a cold and was sniffing and every time he would sniff, Trey would give a very exaggerated sniff back at him! I tried to catch it on video but only caught the tail-end.

He has also discovered his hands and arms and sucks on them whenever possible; even when he's not hungry. He also tries to "eat" his snuggly parts of his car seat. It's his new favorite activity when we are in the car.

At 11 weeks 5 days Trey rolled from his back to his front, but just could not figure out how to get his other arm out from underneath him. At 12 weeks 1 day, he rolled from front to back! He did it twice in a row before I got this video, so by the third time he was just annoyed at Mommy! :)

At 12.5 weeks, Trey discovered his feet. He stares at them and grabs at them. It's so funny. I love when babies discover their feet.

At 12.5 weeks we also started practicing sitting in the bumbo chair. It is still a little big for him, but his head control is getting so much better. I know it's only a matter of time before he is able to sit in it without assistance!

Trey has also FINALLY started to like bath-time. He used to just stare at us blankly, but this month, we started to get smiles!

Friends:
A few pictures of Trey with some of his faves :)
Trey and Quinn hanging out in their "recliners".

Napping with his brother, Lucky.

Learning all sorts of bad things from his couzan, Dellie :)

These two are always near each other.

Anything New:
Dr. Poscik recommended us starting baby vitamins at his one month checkup. We started them around 9 weeks. I gave them to him once, stained a bib and smelled them for two days. Although he didn't mind them and drank them like a champ, Mommy was thoroughly grossed out and will just make sure he gets plenty of Vitamin D so we can forego the vits. When I told Dr. P we weren't doing super well with the vitamins, she just told me to be sure go get him sunlight. DONE!

Trey also laughed out loud for the first time at 9.5 weeks old. His Daddy was playing with him on his changing table and I walked in JUST in time to hear it. Jim had the biggest smile on his face and it pretty much melted my heart. He now usually laughs at us when we make silly faces and/or silly noises at him.

At 11 weeks and 1 day, Trey went to Texas Children's for a dermatology appointment as recommended by our Pediatrician to get his hemangioma checked out. You can read more about this appointment HERE.

Mommy has discovered a few foods that disagree with Trey (they caused LOTS of gas and made him quite uncomfortable!!) and therefore I have cut them out of my diet: cabbage, brussels sprouts and large amounts of bell peppers and onions.

Trey also has a new way he likes to be held. It is only in the evenings and he usually only likes his Daddy to hold him this way. If Jim tries to adjust him and hold him differently, he whines. It's hilarious! I think it's because he is so much more alert now...He does not want to miss anything!

He also rides in his stroller now without his infant carrier like a big boy!

What we did this month:
Trey attended mass for the first time at St. Mary's League City (our church here) Yes, I took a picture, but we were in the "cry room" and it was before Mass started! :) Since that first weekend, we have gone every week and are really enjoying going to mass again.

Trey went to his first crawfish boil at the Derouen's house (and we forgot to take any pictures of him with the crawfish- boo!!)

He celebrated his first Mardi Gras

And Valentine's Day

We went to a housewarming party for our friends Todd and Jaime Bonvillian and Family

Mommy went back to work :( Trey had a great first couple of weeks at Miss Sara's house! (see that post here!)

Our little guy sure is becoming much more alert and active these days. We are really loving every moment with him and look forward to next month! Trey's baptism is scheduled for April 6th!!

Were starting off month 4 with a visit from Grammy and Peet and we couldn't be more excited!!!
