He is also quickly outgrowing his infant carrier. His legs have been bent up on the back seat for months and it is getting difficult to strap him in. We will most definitely be upgrading him to a convertible seat after his 1st birthday!

He now weighs enough that we can set him down on the scale to weigh him. He's growing SO fast :(
Hair/Eyes:
His hair is still growing from back to front again and getting thicker. His eyes are no longer blue and have turned to a beautiful green (just like his Grammy's!). Ithink hope the green eyes are here to stay!

Nicknames:
Big Man, Buddy, Bubba, Bubs, Bud, Baby Trey, Tee Betaille (when he's being one!!)

Sleep Habits:
Trey has been off and on with sleep again. One night he will sleep 11 hours straight and the next he will wake up once. For the most part though, he is back on track with sleep. Most times when he wakes in the middle of the night he can soothe himself back to sleep. Some nights he takes a partial bottle to go back to sleep.

He has continued with one long morning (2+ hours!) and one short afternoon (30-45 minutes) nap each day. He is still sleeping in his crib and has a crib at Sara's as well.

We started giving Trey a blanket to sleep with at night. He loves it and snuggles with it a lot. He also uses the blankie to soothe himself back to sleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night.
What He Eats:
Trey would rather eat than drink milk at this point. He now drinks approx. 15-20 ounces of Similac Soy each day with an additional 18-20 oz of food plus snacks. This little boy would eat all. day. long. if I let him!
He now eats more table foods than purees. We have some pureed squash and sweet potatoes that we are using up. He also gets fed yogurt and cereal/fruit in the morning.
He is a pro at feeding himself and really enjoys to do so.
He is starting to show real interest in the spoon and we sometimes have to give him his own to "feed" himself with while we feed him with another one. As you can tell from the photo below, he is not quite able to get the food from the spoon to his mouth yet. :)
Favorite foods include mandarin oranges, pancakes, blueberries, yogurt, yogurt melts, cheerios, mixed vegetables, grapes and still sweet potatoes.
Daily Routine:
Milestones:
Trey can now easily pull up to standing and cruise along furniture. He can let go and balance for a few seconds but has not felt brave enough to try and take a step yet. We know this will be coming very soon though! He continues to crawl very quickly wherever he needs or wants to go. He can move from room to room in the house so fast.
Trey can hold his sippy cup and enjoys formula or water in it during the day.
He can hold his bottle and will but only on occasion. I guess were stuck holding it for him until we get him fully transitioned to a sippy.
Trey has also figured out how to suck the purees out of the little pouches.
Trey can give kisses, clap his hands, make fish faces and high five.
Trey now helps us get him dressed by pushing his arms through the holes in shirts and putting his arms over his head when we get him undressed.
He still loves his walker and terrorizes Lucky all over the house in it.
He understands SO much of what we say. When asked where I specific person is, he will look for that person (or dog, if you're asking where Lucky is).
What Trey says:
We now have 5 official words that Trey uses on a daily basis!! Mama, Dada, Baba or just ba, Ugh (Lucky), and Ah bowl (apple). He has also said Ehha (Ella) a handful of times. (Ella is his babysitter's daughter). He also says "mmmm" when he sees something that he wants to eat or something that looks yummy. He has also said "hi" a handful of times and uses it appropriately usually when we wave to him, it's so cute!
Trey can mimick lots of noices and faces we make. He can make an especially funny face when he gets the "willies". It's so darn cute.

Anything New:
Trey has discovered the sunlight coming through windows and loves to "catch" it on the floor. He has also discovered shadows and thinks they are way funny!

The not-so-cute stuff:
Many of these issues have sort of resolved themselves over the last month. He still gets upset if you take something away from him but can usually be distracted with another object.
What we did this month:
We welcomed football season!!!
We went to the beach in Galveston.
We had a visit from MawMaw.
We started running more! We are gearing up for the Maddies Footprints Walk in memory of our sweet cousin baby Braxton Michael on October 19th!
We had a sweet visit with Uncle Robert and Renee!
We are looking forward to the cooler weather that the fall brings!!! I cannot believe I am starting to plan a first birthday party. Slow down baby boy, slow down!
