1 year check up: Two days before his one year checkup, Trey woke up with a terrible cough. We took him to the pedi and he ended up having an ear infection and croup! Poor buddy....I'm so thankful though that we made it over a year before he got sick enough to require medication.  He got a steroid shot and was started on amoxil for his ear infection. When we took him for his one year checkup, Dr. Poscik didn't want to give him his immunizations since he had gotten a steroid shot earlier in the week. Otherwise, he looked good and she was pleased with his growth and milestones.

Hair/Eyes:
His hair is still growing from back to front again and getting thicker. His eyes are no longer blue and have turned to a beautiful green (just like his Grammy's!). I think hope the green eyes are  here to stay!

Nicknames:
Big Man, Buddy, Bubba, Bubs, Bud, Baby Trey, Tee Betaille (when he's being one!!)

What He's Wearing:
12 or 12-18 month clothes, size 5 shoes and size 5 diapers.

Sleep Habits:
Trey has been sleeping really well. Most nights he goes down between 8:30-9:30 and wakes up between 5:30-6:30 when he drinks a bottle then goes back to sleep and I usually have to wake him up to go to Sara's.

He has continued with one long morning (2+ hours!) and one short afternoon (30-45 minutes) nap each day. He is still sleeping in his crib and has a crib at Sara's as well.

He LOVES napping with his Peetie.
What He Eats:

Trey has now been transitioned from formula to whole milk. He is LOVING the milk. He has been drinking more milk than he ever drank formula.

We have also started giving him milk in a sippy during the day to work on transitioning him from the bottle to sippy cups.

He has recently showed interest in bigger pieces of food that he can hold and bite pieces off as he goes. I am ok with giving him soft foods like this but am still very cautious with giving him larger pieces of food.

Favorite foods still include mandarin oranges, pancakes, blueberries, yogurt, yogurt melts, cheerios, mixed vegetables, grapes and sweet potatoes.

Daily Routine:
Nothing has really changed here. Our little schedule has been pretty consistent and has worked out well for us.

Personality:

Trey is very ticklish and loves to be tickled.

Trey plays rough and loves to tackle!

He loves crawling around the floor to chase people and to be chased and loves to hide from us!

He laughs a lot and smiles really big, showing off all his teeth!

He still loves electronics and on rare occasions gets to watch shows on the iPad.

He has learned to watch Lucky through the window and immediately heads to the window when Lucky goes outside.

Trey still loves freely giving out kisses!

Milestones:
Trey took his first steps a couple days shy of his 11 month birthday! He has since been doing lots of practicing and cruising and has gotten up to 20 steps at a time. He mostly walks holding on to our hands or furniture.

He is also able to stand up unassisted, from a sitting or kneeling position on the floor.

He loves exploring the house, which usually means the trashcan (ewwwww).

Trey has mastered his sippy cup and will FINALLY hold his bottle (unless he is very tired and trying to go to sleep).
Soon after this photo was taken, we retired his walker as he doesn't use it anymore.
He is working on learning to use a spoon and fork.

He now has 6 teeth!!! He had three more pop out in one month. No wonder he was teething like a crazy man. He is currently working on 2-3 more that look like they will be popping out any day.

HE TURNED ONE!!!

What Trey says:
We now have about 10 official words that Trey uses on a daily basis!! Mama, Dada, Baba, Uhcky, Ah bowl (apple), Hi, Bye, Yeah, Dog and Dat (cat). He has said a few other words once or twice. He is starting to say Nan for his Nanny! He has also said a few other words a couple of times including Ella, Abby, Gram, up and done.

He will also say "hi bud!" appropriately. Usually when waving to us or repeating me saying it.

Anything New:

We recently started using these buggies at the grocery store. Trey LOVES them. I don't know why we didn't do this sooner??

The weather has gotten cooler and it has been SO nice to wear all our fall clothes!

We upgraded him to his big boy car seat!! We are keeping him rear-facing for a bit longer, but he seems to really enjoy his seat. We got the Britax Pavilion-70 and love it!!!

Trey has started to explore the house more. One day I found him in the bathtub. He had climbed in all by himself! The bathroom door is now kept shut at all times...

During his exploring time, he loves to shut doors. It makes me nervous but he is usually very careful with his fingers.

The not-so-cute stuff:

He has started to throw temper tantrums including throwing himself down on the floor when he doesn't get his way. He also will bang his head on things when he gets mad or upset- it's really not cute, especially when he does it on something hard like the floor or the walls. I usually try to ignore him hoping he will grow out of this soon...

The other day I caught him licking the plug to his baby monitor. When I took it from him I noticed it was giving him a little shock when he would lick it...geez...this kid...

What we did this month:

Celebrated Trey's first halloween!
We celebrated Daddy's birthday!
Helping to blow out the candles!
He really liked sharing Daddy's cake with his Nanny!

We had a fun time celebrating with Ziggy at his bday party...these two boys share the same birthday!

We had a mommy/son date cheering on LSU vs A&M while Daddy was at the game!

We traveled home for Thanksgiving...

and the best thing we did....we learned we will be having another TOLER added to our clan in July!!!!!!!
Now that Trey has turned one, I think I will do quarterly updates since things are starting to slow down a little with his growth and milestones. Don't worry though, I will continue with my regular posts, just won't worry about doing one every single month. :)
