I know, I know. This is a tad ridiculous to be posting about Christmas a month later, but we just had SO much fun I HAD to share!
We traveled home early Christmas Eve to Grammy's house where we opened gifts with Grammy and Peetie before heading to Christmas Eve Mass.
Trey got pretty into opening his gifts but had a hard time as he wanted to play with everything he opened so it took us quite some time to get everything opened. Nonetheless it was fun!
Jim always calls Grammy "Grama lama ding dong" so of course she had to sign some of our gifts with her special name :)
Jim was pretty pumped to receive this one particular gift from Grammy ;)
Trey thought it was a lot of fun to slide down the big box!
Jim LOVED his new sports coat and wanted to model it for us. (OK, or maybe we convinced him to model!)
I spy some teefers!!!
We got showered and ready for Christmas Eve Mass. (and of course took a few minutes for a photo op before leaving the house).
Trey got pretty restless so Jim spent much of mass letting Trey run around outside. Thank goodness for good Daddies!
When we got home, we made luminaries to light Papa Noel's way to Grammy's house! This is a tradition we have done ever since I was a little girl.
...It worked! Santa came for one very lucky little boy!!! Trey got a play kitchen stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils and food. He also got a sing and play doggie, and a train (or choo choo as Trey calls them).
Santa stuffed Trey's stocking made by Aunt Sharon full to the top with goodies! Some of what he got were snacks, books, crayons and new sippies!
Santa also came for Grammy, Peet, Jim, Liz and Lucky too!!
We all slept in (including Trey!!!) and when he finally woke up, we were ready for him in the living room.
He smiled immediately when he saw his kitchen!
Brother dog sniffed out his treats right away in his stocking!
We spent the morning playing with all our new things and being thankful for each other.
Grammy read Trey his new book all about his family. He loves it!
We got dressed and headed to Zachary to spend Christmas morning with the Tolers and Herrings. Mr. Randy cooked us all a big breakfast and it was SO good!
The day after Christmas we traveled to Mandeville for an "O'Mearathon" as Jim called it, but that will be in a separate post.
Friday, Onnie and Sophia and NaeNae came over so we could exchange gifts. Sophie and Trey had a lot of fun playing together.
They shared snacks on the couch...
...and a few kisses too! :)
Friday evening, we headed to Colfax to spend the weekend with MawMaw, Aunt Jamie and Aunt Jutta.
Trey got more kisses from pretty girls, this one just happened to be hairy... :)
Saturday, we played in MawMaw's BIG backyard all day. Trey had a blast!
He tried out a few oranges off MawMaw's tree. We have a hilarious video of him eating them. They were SUPER sour and he made the best faces!!!
He loved being carried all around by Aunt Jamie.
Daddy got one of Trey's balls stuck in a tree and had to climb in the tree to get it out.
Trey fell asleep in the middle of visiting with the Covingtons. He was SO tired after playing so hard all day.
Lucky and Sadie...reunited and it feels so good...
We headed home to Texas Sunday with a packed car and happy hearts. Trey rode almost the whole way home with his new doggie on his lap. He really loves her!
