I love that muddy water...weekend wrap-up.

Two weekends ago, Trey and I headed home for a fun-filled weekend! We left really early Saturday morning- with Daddy driving his own truck- for LA. Jim headed to Alexandria to help his sisters finish going through all his mom's stuff before her big move to Florida to live with them.

We had a beautiful sunrise on our way in!

When we got to New Roads, we ran a few errands with Grammy, then went to visit her friends the Ducotes who had never met Trey.

After a quick visit, we headed to the river to meet up with the Dardennes. They came and picked us up at Morel's. Trey fell asleep in his car seat but woke up shortly after getting on the party barge.

He was a little unsure of it at first and spent some time on GG's lap, but he quickly warmed up and had a blast!

He LOVED "driving" the boat.

After he saw everyone swimming, he decided he wanted to join us. His favorite part was getting everyone's toes as they floated up.

He had a good time chilling out on GG while we rode around. When we got too hot, we would stop for a little swim.

It did this mama's heart SO good to see him having so much fun in the muddy water I grew up in. He swallowed a little False River water here and there but so did I back in the day and I turned out just fine :)

Tiff and her niece, Onnie, Sophia, Me and Trey. Just like old high-school days except with babies! :)

After a fun day in the sun, Trey liked looking for the "dat" at GG's house.

He had a great time "helping" GG make the fruit salad...aka eating all the fruit as soon as she could wash and cut it.

Sweet boy.

GG found my old skunk puppet and Trey fell in love with it, kissing and hugging it.

Sunday morning, we headed to BR to visit with the Wascoms and their new little love bug, Eden.

She was just so precious. Trey didn't mind me holding her so I got in lots of good baby snuggles.

He really liked baby Eden and liked to touch her soft little head.

After leaving their house, we headed to Uncle Bub and Aunt Jane's house to visit and eat. Trey loved playing in the mail slot with Uncle Bub and had a fun time helping him harvest vegetables from their garden. He also had a good time chasing  playing with Minou ;)

When we left their house, we stopped at CC's and Trey had a smoothie while GG and I had coffee. He took a nap in the car on the way home.

When we got back to GG's house, Trey and GG had fun being pot heads playing with pot lids.

Trey did GREAT sleeping in his big boy bed at GG's house. He has sadly outgrown his pack n play at her house as he cannot get comfy in it to sleep anymore. I was surprised he did really good sleeping and would get up and wait for us to come open the door for him in the mornings.

Monday morning we headed to Aunt Sarrie's to visit with her and Leighton before heading back to Tx.

Trey was a little unsure at first about Leighton, but soon warmed up to her and would not leave her alone. He wanted to be right there by her and wanted to be touching her at all times.

We failed miserably at getting a good picture of them together in their matching outfits, but that's just life with a toddler.

We had such a good visit and we were sad to leave. Here's to our next adventure...
