This puts him in the 50% for weight and 50% for length.
Little man rocked his 6 month old doctor's appointment and flirted and cooed at Dr. P. He also took his shots like a champ with minimal crying and no fussiness afterwards. Dr. P said she is not concerned that his head is a little flat, after all, his big brother's head was shaped the same way and so is his daddy's. She is pleased with his motor development and growth.
Hair/Eyes:
His little hair is starting to grow back in and is really light brown/blonde. His eyes continue to lighten up and we think they will be blue but sometimes they look a little green much to his brother's delight.

Nicknames: Brother, Wes, Wesley Burger, Wesley Michael

Sleep Habits:
He now sleeps in his crib for all naps and at night. He sleeps in the pack n play at Cathy's.

He can put himself to sleep but given the choice would rather be bounced or rocked to sleep.
He is still waking up 1-2 times a night (for about two months now). He wants to nurse a little then goes right back to sleep. We tried two nights of letting him cry and that is just not for us, so we are trying to work it out. Our next attempt will be a little "dream feed" before we go to bed to see if we can get him to go a little longer before his first wake. I think he just does not require a lot of sleep (like his Nanny!) but bad for us, lol!
What He Eats:
Wesley is mostly still breastfed but we have had to start supplementing with some formula as my supply has dropped a lot. If he gets any formula, he gets one bottle (usually at night). He continues to nurse or get breast milk in a bottle the other feedings of the day.
He is becoming very distracted while nursing and will pop himself off to look around the room, or crane his neck to see what Trey is doing in another room or even sit up from a laying down position. It is hilarious but painful all at the same time!
He is also eating solids 1-2 times a day and has had rice and oatmeal cereals, avocado, banana, prunes, and butternut squash and sweet potatoes which are his absolute favorite!
I have been making his food just like I did for Trey and it has been so much fun watching him try new things! These little jars always make me happy when I see them smiling at me from the freezer :)
He is still drinking 5 oz at a time from a bottle but I expect him to need more any day now. He takes 2-3 bottles while at Cathy's house during the day and has food once at her house.
What He Says:
He has really started to coo and talk to us and it is just so precious. He also hollers at us if we are not paying attention to him or if he is in a room all alone and wants someone to come and pick him up. It's precious.

He laughs and has the cutest little chuckle. He also has a high pitched little shriek that kills us it is so darn cute.

Daily Routine:
He still eats every 2-3 hours during the day. Night feeds have become more like 1-2 times a night but hopefully won't be this way for long. He no longer cat naps throughout the day and he now takes 3-4 naps daily with one being a long nap about 2 hours or more some days.

He wakes for good in the morning around 7 ish and goes go bed around 8:30-9. He usually wakes up once more after 9 to nurse before going to sleep for the night.

He takes a bath with Trey in the big tub and loves it but is getting too brave and actually flung himself out of his seat and into the tub the other night and just about gave me a heart attack!

Motor Milestones/Anything New:
Still rolling and can now roll to move around on the floor and we have retired his play mat as he was no longer staying under it and playing.

He can now sit unassisted and is SO SO happy to be able to sit and watch Trey play!

He is doing awesome with sitting but still needs someone close by as if he gets distracted or looks too high up he will fall over.

He can now ride in the top part of the buggy like a big boy. Three cheers to no more baby carrier taking up the entire buggy!!

He can now take his paci out of his mouth and is working on getting it back in. He cannot find it at night time and we usually find it someplace weird...like here on his back. :)

He is trying to hold his own bottle and can easily hold toys or a teether.

Brother and Buddy Time:
These next two pictures are my two new favorite pictures of my boys. Just the way they are looking at and giggling at each other melts my heart!

I really cannot believe my baby boy is 6 months old; half a year! Where did the time go? I swear every single day he gets a little sweeter than the day before. We love him to pieces!
