WE BEAT BAMA. In overtime. In Tuscaloosa.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (9-0 baby!) Ok, now that I got that out, I can focus on what this post is really about. (Which is basically a re-cap of our awesome LSU football legacy) I decided to make a little flashback post about my time at LSU as a student to present. (Disclaimer: the photos from 2005-2007 are proof of what late-nights at Fred's, AJ's and Lakeside will do to you!) I got a really good laugh out of most of these pictures and hope you do too...

Some of my all-time favorite LSU Football Memories:
1. 2007-Last game as a student (LSU vs. Ole Miss). We won in overtime. The student section stayed the whole game. The team stayed on the field and sang the Alma Mater twice with the band. We were all in tears. It was awesome.
2. 2005- Emily T. got bit by ants all over her feet and stood in an ice-chest full of ice water to make them feel better.
3. 2007 Sugar Bowl- Stopping in every bar and dancing on our way to the Dome.
4. Chico taking us on a tour of the locker room in 2008. Amazing!
5. 2010 Tennessee game. Thinking we had lost the game, then theres a flag, then we see theres not only 1 but 2 extra Tennessee players on the field. We get the ball back and win in the last second of the game.
6. The Tent Parties at Freds then Walk-Ons where BTE's free concert would be every year.
7. The fact that I am 5-0 in road games. Just sayin'....
Thank you to ANNE BERNARD for the following:
8. LSU vs. Florida 2007- when they announced that USC had lost and the stadim ERRUPTED. She had never heard the stadium that loud and neither had I. I just got goose-bumps while I was typing this post remembering how loud it was.
9. Ole Miss 2006- Emily Bonvillain, Anne, Romine and I took a road trip to Oxford for the Ole Miss game. J-Howell got us tickets (in the student section nonetheless). We tailgated all day in our jeans with solo cups among girls in stilettos drinking from crystal flutes. Even with all the differences, I must add that was one of the funnest (yes I know funnest isn't a word but I don't care) away game ever! We also sat in THEIR student section and talked trash the whole time. Who? US?
10. One home game, minutes before heading into the stadium, I asked Anne's dad if I could have a  fairly large ziplock. He then asked me what I was going to do with it. I explained to him that I was going to pour the rest of my crown into it and put it in my pants. He responded "carry on Liz, carry on". Love that man...
11. Anne also remembers the Ole Miss game listed above where the students stayed the whole game. It made her proud to be a tiger!

If you can think of any more memories, please comment below and I will add them to the post and give you credit. Also if you have any pictures you would like to add send them to me! I'm looking for the picture of you and I and the pig Anne, can't find that one. I'm also looking for the picture of the home game vs. ole miss listed above of us (teary-eyed) in the student section...
I'm sure there are many more, but these are the only ones I can come up with for now.

What are some of your favorite LSU-related memories??

This. is. AWESOME!!!!!!! I am loving the trip down memory lane, and have decided that you need to move back to BR!!!!

The moment against Ole Miss was awesome!! I watched the student section the whole time and was SO PROUD to be a Tiger!!

Other favorites were 2007 at home against Florida. When they announced that USC lost, I've NEVER heard the stadium that loud!! And I'll never forget last night in Bryant-Denny!! AMAZING!!!!! Plus there were all those times you snuck Crown into the stadium in your skirt....

Steph- you really should! It was so much fun going through all the pictures... I have so many more, but I think they are on CDs somewhere because most of my picures on this computer don't go back that far. I MUST find them though!
Anne- I love your comment! How could I forget the Florida game and the USC announcement! Were you in Tuscaloosa? How did I miss that? Some others that I forgot were when you wanted to turn 25 in Tiger Stadium but the game ended early, tailgating in the GROVE among the stilettos with us in our Jeans and Solo Cups!!!, and also a conversation I had with your dad regarding what I was going to do with a ziplock that he gave me. I am going to update this post and add yours and those that I forgot! I also love that you are in almost every single one of those memories and/or pics. I miss you AND BR, friend! :)

Kati,
Thank you for the sweet comment! Your brothers and dad have become members of our family over the last couple of falls. We love them to death (and their precious families too!) We rotate through each others houses for each game! How in the world did you find my blog? Geaux Tigers!!

Lilli-

I found your LSU blog post through the Google image search "LSU student section." I live in Baton Rouge with my wife and 4 year old son and I'm in the process of developing an LSU/collegiate photo based business. I was wondering if I could use some of the images you posted for one of our test runs? This would be a hard copy printed picture test only (no online usage) that would include some of your LSU photos in it. We'd like to see how our product looks with shots from LSU fans other than ourselves. I'd be happy to discuss further if you're interested or if you have any questions. I'd also be happy to send you a free final product with your LSU pictures in it once our business is up and running.

I look forward to hearing from you.
