We participated in the Maddie's Footprints walk in Lafayette on October 19th.
This was the second year for "Team Braxton" and once again we won for largest team- GEAUX US!! It is so crazy to think that last year I was 9 months pregnant and this year our 11 month old was with us!
Friday morning on our way to Sara's house, Trey and I saw this beautiful sky! We knew Braxton was sending us a sign that the weekend would be perfect!
We went to Lafayette Friday night and spent the whole weekend at Aunt Sarrie and Uncle Brent's house. Trey pretty much ate the entire three-hour car ride :)
Of course we stopped to get a daiquiri on the way in :)
It was such a nasty weekend and had a huge chance of rain all day. We were preparing for a soggy day with rain coats and umbrellas when next thing we knew, the sky cleared!
The day ended up being a gorgeous, sunny day with not a drop of rain! During the balloon release, Trey kept pointing and saying "ah bowl" "ah bowl". Guess he thought they were apples!
We enjoyed the walk and really enjoyed spending time with the O'Mearas.
We had a great time getting to visit with everyone and Trey really loved having some one-on-one time with his Aunts and Uncles.
We watched FSU whip-up on Clemson with our family from Pensacola then watched LSU lose to Ole Miss :( Even Mr. UL (Brent) was cheering for the tigers.
Sunday, Trey LOVED seeing the horses behind the Bergeron's house. He was enthralled and just kept staring at them. He looks like SUCH a little man here...
We had a delish breakfast at the Coffee Depot then Grammy and Peet headed home.
He had beignets for the first time and they were a huge hit!
We went back home to let Trey nap then headed to the cemetery to say a little prayer for Braxton. Trey had a hand print he wanted to leave for Braxton in his jar of love.

When we got there, there were ants and wasps all over his grave :( so Trey played in his jar of love for a bit before we left.

We had a great time hanging out with our peeps and supporting a wonderful organization and look forward to participating next year as well!
