Hair/Eyes:
Trey's old man hair has made a comeback! His hair is growing from back to front again! His eyes are also blue but in the sun, they sometimes have a greenish tint to them. I think they will be light but not as light as his Daddy's.

What He's Wearing:
6-12 month, size 1-2 shoes and size 3 diapers. I went to put him in some 6 month clothes last week and they were way too tight and had to be retired :(

Sleep Habits:
We went through a huge sleep regression after 6 months, where Trey started waking up once or twice a night to nurse. A few nights he still slept through the night and a couple of nights he woke up more than twice :( A few nights were particularly rough as he woke up every hour wanting to nurse- I think he was going through a growth-spurt combined with teething = no fun for Mommy and Daddy!! We have now held out on giving him milk every time he wakes up and it has seemed to help. We are hoping to get back on track soon, for our sanity at least.

Trey still goes down between 8-9pm but instead of waking up at 5-6am for the day, he goes back to sleep after this feed as well making his normal wake time between 7-8am. So he is sleeping close to 12 hours he just sometimes doesn't sleep through.
He is now on a pretty solid nap schedule taking 3 naps per day; around 9-10 am, around 1-2 pm then again around 3-5 pm. Each of these naps is normally an hour or longer.

He is still sleeping and napping in his crib. He sleeps in the pack n play at Sara's. When Grammy was keeping him last week, she found him up on all fours looking at her over the bumper on his crib, silly boy!
What He Eats:
Still breastfeeding! So happy about my decision to do so but I have also started the weaning process. Something just clicked in my head that I was done and that was it. I am so thankful I have been able to breastfeed this long and so thankful for Trey growing and thriving from my milk. Now that he is eating solids, I do not feel as if he is relying on my milk as much.
He has cut out one bottle a day while at Sara's and now eats 3, 5 oz bottles.
Trey can hold his bottle or sippy cup now, but usually prefers someone else to hold them for him :)
I still intend to nurse him in the morning and at nighttime, but I am cutting out pumping. So far, so good! I have cut back to one pump a day at work and have cut that one pump back to only 10 minutes.
Even though stopping breast feeding is a little bittersweet, I am excited about not having to pump anymore! Trey is also a difficult nurser now- he is either super efficient and fast, or he is super distracted and takes forever to nurse. So regardless of how he is being, I don't really get that sweet snuggle time anymore.
I plan on going into more details about the weaning process as we go, so stay tuned for that information.
When my supply has dropped to the point where I will need to supplement formula, we will be starting Trey on Similac Soy since he has a dairy allergy.
Trey also LOVES food. He now eats three "meals" a day in addition to his bottles. I am making his baby food and he has loved everything he has eaten thus far. So far he has had: bananas, peaches, prunes, apples, pears, avocados, green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash and zucchini, rice cereal, oatmeal cereal and multi-grain cereal...and has loved them all.
He also LOVES to eat puffs although he cannot quite figure out how to get them in his mouth yet.
Daily Routine:
Nothing has really changed here. Our little schedule has been pretty consistent and has worked out well for us. The one difference is that Trey starts his day between 7-8 am although Mommy has usually been up for a while before then.
Personality:
Trey continues to laugh a lot, usually when we act like were going to "get him" and when we tickle him. He really laughs when we make animal sounds, but "woof" is his favorite.
He also has this high pitched "gasp" that he does when he is really excited.
He continues to have a huge smile and usually gives them out freely. He has started to smile with his tongue sticking out at times too. I think it may be the cutest thing I have ever seen, although I realize I am likely a bit biased... :)

Milestones:
Trey can easily sit unsupported.

It's so nice now because we can sit him down on the floor with some toys within reach and he will just sit and play. He looks like SUCH a big boy.

Still not officially crawling, but he can get up on all fours and rock and scoot anywhere he needs to get.
He can also "crawfish" backwards and usually ends up under the couch!

He can also lean forward from a sitting position to pick up toys then sit back up on his own. He can get on all fours from a sitting position and scoot around.
Trey has recognized Mommy and Daddy for a while, but he recognized Grammy on FaceTime this month. He gives her the biggest smiles when he sees her face pop up on the iPad. Of course, that makes Grammy's day!!
Trey gives big huge open-mouthed kisses on demand. Usually you just have to say "give me a kissy" and he's all over it. It's slobbery yet adorable!
He also pats and hugs necks when held close.
He is working on clapping but getting better at it! He gets really excited when someone notices him clapping :)
He consistently reaches for us and even for Sara in the mornings when I drop him off.
Trey recognizes his name and will look when you call it.

Anything New:
Yes! Teeth! Trey cut his first tooth two days short of his 7 month birthday! He also has a second tooth now. They are the two bottom middle teeth. Teething has been pretty hard on the little guy so we are really excited about these two finally popping through.
He is starting to get some separation anxiety and will cry when left alone in a room.
He has started to pull at his ears or play with his hair when he gets really tired. He also now plays with my hair in the back when I hold him.
He loves reaching for and grabbing things, especially things we don't want him to have like the mail, the remote control and the plants in our garden when we go out to water! :)
Favorite Activities:
Teething on everything and everything!

Loving ice or frozen fruit in his mesh teether.

Swinging on his swing outside, or really anything having to do with being outside.

SWIMMING!!!

He really gets excited about Lucky now. I think it has finally clicked in his head that Lucky is alive, as silly as that sounds.

Here are a few photos of Trey and his friends:
We're working on sharing, hehe! :)

We had a GREAT month this month, regardless of all the sleepless nights! We had Grammy and Peet come visit and the Bonvillains as well.

We already have had a busy summer and it's about to get even busier with visits from the Hoffmans and Bergerons and the Janelle LaCombe Memorial weekend the first week in August. Can't wait for more fun in the sun!!
It was so cute to see Jolie and Trey together. Happy Birthday America!! Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!
