Thanksgiving Week 2014

We had a totally fantastic Thanksgiving week! I had 5 days in a row off (GLORIOUS!!!) and Jim had 4, so we had a great time and got a lot done.

GG and Puh came in Wednesday afternoon and Trey was just thrilled to see them when he woke up from his nap. We hung out and visited Wednesday and worked on decorating the house for both Trey's party and for Christmas. 

Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, Trey woke up to a brand-new Tee Pee in the living room complete with comfy pillows.

He was a little apprehensive at first but it didn't take him long to jump right in and start playing!

He also got to open his birthday gifts from GG, Puh, Mommy and Daddy. Earlier in the week he got cards and gifts from lots of the O'Mearas and Jacobs as well!

We sang happy birthday to him with birthday donuts and let him blow out his candles.

He got lots of phone calls and got face-time calls from The Tolers, Bergerons and O'Mearas, which he loved!

That day we were going to have turkey for dinner at the Tolers, so we had a pretty laid back day as well. We decorated our tree and finished up some last minute party-planning along with making the food for that night.

Before leaving for the Tolers we took a couple pictures and made a very special announcement....that we are expecting baby #2!!! :)

We had a great supper and it was even better with an LSU win over Texas A&M- yay!

Trey got cupcakes and we sang happy birthday to him (for the second time in one day- what a lucky little boy!)

Trey also got to open more birthday presents!

We all went home exhausted but will full bellies and full hearts from a day spent with people we love.

Friday, Jim and Kev went hunting and we just laid low around the house and played with all of Trey's new gifts.

The girls took a little break and got our toes done which was long overdue! Jim also put out all the outside Christmas lights and the house looks amazing! I will have to post some of those very soon.

Trey and Puh Puh made pasta salad for his party Saturday and we hung out with the little one.

Saturday, was Trey's 2nd birthday party and my 30th birthday!

We had family and friends over to celebrate the little guy and we had such a great time!

I spent very little on decorations as I made most of them myself, thanks to Pinterest of course!

We had quite a lot of people show up and we had so much fun visiting.

The food was pretty yummy and was almost ALL GONE after the party! We had all sorts of theme foods all from Sesame Street of course!







We had a little adult humor with Bernice's pigeon wings.. :)



Trey got really shy when everyone started to sing "Happy Birthday" to him. It was adorable.













He got lots of nice gifts and had a lot of fun opening them!

We actually remembered to take a Mommy picture as well, which we always forget to do.

We had a jumpy for the kiddos so you know they had a blast jumping all night. Trey was filthy and exhausted by the end of the night.

GG and Puh had to go home Sunday, and we sure do miss them already.

We had a great week and weren't ready for it to be over.
