We stayed in this super cute little cabin (Nonnie's Nest) on Buttercup Hill that overlooked a canyon.
This was our view from our porch- beautiful!
We left early Friday morning and kind of took our time getting to Wimberley. We got to the cabin and checked in and found these yummy treats waiting for us (along with homemade quiche in the fridge!).
This huge temperpedic king sized bed made us both decide we need a bigger bed, lol!

This is the view as you come down Buttercup Hill. It was so pretty. We saw SO much wildlife- deer, butterflies, squirrels and even a road runner!!
We went into Wimberley and walked around and did a little shopping. This little creek runs through the town and this picture was taken off a bridge.
After dinner at Inoz which was pretty good, we headed to the Wooden Spoon for frozen yogurt. We indulged in peanut-containing toppings until our little hearts were content since Trey wasn't with us :)
Saturday morning, we enjoyed our coffee on our porch while we made our game plan of what we would do first for the day.
It was a really beautiful morning!
First, we headed to Wimberley Glassworks and watched these super talented guys blow glass. It was really cool but REALLY hot in there. I was glad we went first thing in the morning because I'm sure it gets super toasty in there as the day goes on.
They were making a decanter to match a pitcher and glass set that a customer already had purchased. This was a new piece that they had never made before so it was really cool watching them try to figure out how to do it. The customer who bought it has really small hands so they also had certain measurements they had to get just right so she could pick it up with one hand.
After the glass-blowing, we walked ALL around the little town, doing lots of shopping as we went. We ended up getting lots of cute gifts for friends and family and some things for our house as well. It is seriously just the cutest little town.
This was just some of what we bought :) We headed back to the cabin to drop off our purchases before heading to the Blair House Spa to get massages! <----which were amazing by the way!!!!
That night, we went to the Leaning Pear for dinner. It was amazing and the atmosphere was great. We got lots of recommendations from people in town to check it out and I'm very glad we did.
Sunday we took our time relaxing and packing up then headed back home. It was a beautiful day for a drive!
Before we got home, we made ONE last stop at IKEA!!!! :) I have a love-hate relationship with that store as it is always so busy and packed but we really needed some things to organize the house, especially the playroom so I was glad we went.
We headed home to see this little love-bug and celebrate GG's birthday with yummy cake we picked up from a local bakery in Wimberley. We were thrilled to learn they use no peanut products in their bakery! :) :)
We had a great time and are so thankful we got this little time away. Now just waiting on this babe to arrive!
