Easter Weekend 2015

GG brought Trey back home from Louisiana Thursday so we could go to the annual Easter egg hunt at our gym. The kiddos love to go every year and always have so much fun.

They patiently (well mostly patiently) waited in line for their turn to go hunt the eggs.

Liza, Jo and Ryker were even there!!

Ready...Set...GO! They didn't waste anytime when it was their turn!

The limit was 15 each but there were plenty of eggs for each kiddo to have more if they wanted them.

The bigs were too busy going through their eggs to stop and smile for us and Hayes was just happy to have his paci :)

The tickle monster can always manage to get a smile though :)

MawMaw hung out on Hayes patrol so the bigs could do their thing.

After the egg hunt, we lined up to take pictures with the bunny and the boys ran and Dellie and her new little friend twirled and twirled in the grass.

Hayes was asleep at this point and stayed asleep on the bunny's lap- it was precious!

Quinn was not having anything to do with the bunny. He had his eyes on the jumpy house!

And then there was Trey's reaction...

He did however LOVE the real bunnies just like he did last year. He cried and cried when his turn was over.

He also somehow weaseled his way into the Toler's easter bunny time as well, haha!

Next up was the jumpy house so you know they all had a blast with that! Quinn and Trey both had meltdowns when we tried to leave; they were just having too much fun!

After meltdowns from both Trey and Quinn as they did NOT want to leave, we headed home to all take naps. Friday night we were heading to the DeRouen's for a crawfish boil and wanted to make sure everyone was well-rested.

The kiddos had fun "swimming" in the hot tub that Dan warmed up for them.

After a good while of swimming, they all lined up ready for the egg hunt!

Reed found the golden egg! (I thought we hid it a lot better than we actually did...)

Trey got some extra help from his Puh Puh.

All the kids really loved the confetti eggs and loved cracking them on each others' heads. Thankfully we were outside :)

I was thankful to my friends for filling the eggs with non-peanut treats :)

We all ate our fill of crawfish and headed home with full bellies ready for a good night's sleep!

Saturday Puh and Trey made homemade cake balls that they had been wanting to make for a while.

Although Trey did wash his hands before they started, this happened over and over again so we warned everyone to eat them at their own risk lol!

After making cake balls, we died Easter eggs. This was the first year Trey was really able to help and do a lot of it himself. He designated which egg was for what person and what color it would be. He really had fun with this!

By the time we were done, he didn't want to pose with his finished product, so we got a picture of all the "helpers" instead :)

After the cake balls had time to chill, Puh and Trey did the icing on them and put the finishing touches including sprinkles and sticks to make them cake pops!

They were so proud of themselves :)

Saturday night this little one got spoiled by his Puh Puh and they watched videos of cats on her phone until all hours of the night, lol!

Once Trey went to bed, the Easter bunny came and made a pass at our house!!

We were all up before Trey was (which is really shocking!!) so we patiently waited for him to get up so he could come see what the bunny brought him!

The GG, Puh Puh and MawMaw bunnies made a stop too and Baby Kermie actually got his or her own basket too!

After going through his haul, we got ready for church. Trey threw an absolute fit and would not get dressed and we missed Mass. I was so upset- probably most of it was pregnancy hormones but I really wanted to go to church with my family on Easter...

The Tolers came over to have Easter dinner with us and the kiddos got more sussies!

This little monster had such a long day he passed smoothe out on GG's lap dreaming of Easter candy I am sure :)

We had a great Easter weekend and were so glad everyone could come celebrate with us. We love having Easter at our house even though it means we usually miss out on seeing our extended family.
