Fall(ish) Is Here!

This is hands-down my most favorite time of year. It usually starts the first weekend in September, when I break out my LSU/Saints wreath for the front door and the fun doesn't stop until Ash Wednesday once Mardi Gras is over. I have always loved this time of year and to make it even better, it's Hubby's fav as well!

Funny thing is, everyone in Hubby's family (including the two of us who married into the family) has birthdays from September-January. Seriously. To make it even better, our lil man will fit right in with a birthday in late November/early December!

Even though the temperatures are still pretty warm here, it is starting to cool off a bit...well I'm using cool very loosely here. We have a "cold front" coming through tonight where the low will be 55 and I'm almost giddy at the thought! Bring on the leggings and boots- I'm more than ready!

I decorated our house for fall the first week in September- don't hate. I pulled out all my little pumpkins and raffia and other fall-ish items and got busy. I keep these out until I can get away with decorating for Christmas which is usually the day after Thanksgiving (or my birthday) whichever Hubby will allow that year. If it was up to me, I would have Christmas out already, I'm serious about this obsession, people.

I am extremely jealous of all the beautiful pictures of the changing leaves and posts about cool weather I have seen from my family and friends on the East coast. Not to mention any names but Steff, Jamie, Jutta, Brit! :) Teehee...

Anywho, here are a few pics of how fall has invaded our house....

Even though there is still lots of green here, the furry one in the household is loving the cooler weather. I find him out here a lot. Just chillin'.

I think our fig tree was a little confused this year (we planted him last year). When everyone else's trees were yielding amazing amounts of sweet figs, our tree had one measly fig on it. Now, in October, we have TONS of figs and they are all ripening! Yay!!

So glad to be here at this time of year again- full of pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin muffins, (really pumpkin anything), purple and gold and (regardless of their current record) Who Dats!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Too cute! I love how festive you are, Liz.

Glad you've been enjoying my pics - I'm a huge fall fan as well. Don't know why I never put the fact that it's football season together with the mean reasons why I love Fall, but it makes total sense!
