My cousin, Colleen and her fiance, Chris, got married on April 5th in Atlanta, GA.
Most of our family was able to go and we had a wonderful time!
We flew out early Friday morning and arrived at the airport around the same time as Grammy and Peet. Trey did great on the plane. We did "pat pat pat pat blast off" from Little Einsteins when we took off. He enjoyed looking out the window at all the "choo choo's" (aka the carts used to load luggage into the planes).
He kept occupied with games on the ipad, books, and snacks and fell asleep right when the plane landed.
When we saw Grammy and Peet at the airport, Trey jumped out of my arms and ran to Grammy. The love those two have for one another is so special.
We loaded up the rental car and headed to the hotel where we all took a nap before the rehearsal dinner that night.
I only took a couple pictures all night at the rehearsal supper but it was a lot of fun. We got to meet our sweet new cousin, Miles. Trey LOVED him!
It was at my Aunt Mo and Uncle Norman's house. There were SO many people there who love Colleen and Chris so it was a pretty darn special night.
Trey passed out in the car on the way home and woke up happy as a clam in his pack n play Saturday morning.
Saturday morning we had breakfast downstairs at the hotel then headed to the Children's Museum with the Hoffmans, Marinos, Aunt Lucy, GG and Puh. (Trey has changed Grammy's name to GG all of a sudden...were not sure why. She loves it though.)
Right when we walked in there was a big section full of different machines that transported balls around. The boys spent a lot of time here (big boys included!).
Trey also really loved the big tables with the trains.
Trey had a lot of fun playing with his cousins Grady and Reece.
Trey really liked the farming section. There was a tractor and cow to milk and grocery store.
| "Puh, is this where milky comes from?" |
He fell asleep in the car on the way home and was able to take a good nap before the wedding.
There were babysitters provided at the hotel to keep the kiddos during the wedding. This actually worked out perfect and we were able to really enjoy the wedding.
It was a beautiful ceremony in Piedmont Park and he reception was in the Piedmont Garden Tent.
The tables were so cute with centerpieces showing places the bride and groom have traveled and/or were special to them. The O'Meara cousins got Frankfort. All my summer memories from Frankfort include my cousins so it was pretty cool that we sat at that table.
Besides the wedding party, we definitely had the best table ever! (#besttableever #napkinsdontwork)
O'Meara Aunts and Uncles Table was pretty good also though :)
The O'Meara outlaw group sure is growing! They are really loving adding to their crew!
Colleen was gorgeous and Chris so handsome.
We had a fantastic time visiting with our family. We danced the night away and just had a really great time.
Colleen was the 7th cousin to use our Grandpa O'Meara's handkerchief on their wedding day.
We slept in Sunday morning so we sadly missed out on brunch at Aunt Mo and Uncle Norman's house so we could head to the airport.
Trey was getting very tired by the time our flight left, but overall he did well again on the flight...until the landing. We had an extremely rough flight and we had to circle the airport 3 times before we could land. I have never been on a flight that rough before. When we landed, everyone clapped-it was that bad.
We had such a great time with our family and were so glad we were able to attend the wedding. We left feeling very blessed to have such a big and loving family.
Both our boys were really excited to see each other when we picked Lucky up from the spa :)
Now we wait for the next O'Meara cousin to get hitched- any takers?? Tommy? Robert? :)
