That daddy-o sure is becoming a good photographer!
How far along: 20 weeks and 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: 3 lb this week (15 lbs total)
Maternity clothes? Oh yes!
Sleep: LOVING this awesome sleep. Also loving the few days a week I take naps...bliss!
Best moment(s) this week: Mama and Pee (PeeT as Dellie calls her) were here for the whole weekend! We went antiquing with Les on Saturday, church then mani/pedis on Sunday and had our BIG ultrasound today. We had a really fun time on our photo shoot on Sunday as well!
We also had a fabulous 10pm McFlurry run on Sunday night that really hit the spot! Also, while shopping on Sunday, a man guessed Baby J's gender by looking at the size of my pupil compared to my iris. He looked into my eyes and didn't hesitate to say "boy". He said he has only been wrong one time since 1978 and that girl was pregnant with twins. Well, go ahead and add another to his resume! We also had a yummy celebratory supper tonight with the Tolers complete with lots of sweet sussies for baby boy picked out by his couzan Dellie.
Movement: Still the same little wiggles and little kicks. The kicks are getting stronger and more frequent, but I still can't feel them on the outside. During our ultrasound today, he was moving around like crazy and I could actually feel him hiccuping!
Food cravings: I have been drinking non-fat Iced Lattes quite a bit here. There is a McDonald's and Starbucks on the way to work, so that has been my downfall lately. I'm also drinking one as I type this! :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing in particular this week...maybe I'm "growing" out of that.
Gender: BOY! Leslie asked Dellie if Lili's baby was a boy or a girl a few weeks ago. She said the baby was a "buh". Too funny that she realizes her Buh is a boy...maybe she has a future career in gender predictions... ;)
Symptoms: Have had heart burn a few nights this week especially after all the fried shrimp at Bubba's on Saturday night, but Tums knocked that out! Also had some leg cramps that woke me up in the middle of the night. Dr. Black said to increase my calcium and that should knock it out. Also continue to be very thirsty. I cannot drink enough water. I guess there could be worse things!
Belly button in or out? In. It is getting a little more flat, however...
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time? HAPPY!!
Anything new? Yeah, one huge thing...that were having a BOY!!!!! We also have a name! Some family knows what Baby J's name will be, but we will wait a while before announcing to everyone...SORRY gotta make sure we don't change our minds, although I doubt we will! ;)
Looking forward to: Definitely looking forward to Jim being able to feel baby boy move!
Exercise this week: HAH! None. Will get back on track this week.
From our 20 week Dr. Appt:
Had our anatomical ultrasound and 20 week checkup today. It was so amazing to see the little one wiggling all around in there. The sonogram tech said we sure do have a busy baby! She took all his measurements and the radiologist showed us all four chambers of the heart and the blood flowing in and out of it. All four of us were stunned when he told us baby's heart is only as big as our fingernail!
The sonogram tech then asked if we wanted to know the gender and we all said "yes!" She scanned down and showed us that our baby is absolutely a boy. Baby boy was showing off like a fool in there with his legs spread way open. He wanted to make sure we knew what he was! He was also sucking his thumb and doing all sort of adorable baby things like having the hiccups which I could feel! He has gotten those twice during our ultrasounds now, so that makes me think he must get them pretty often. He also did NOT like the doppler and kept wiggling away from it and swatting at it.
Baby Boy is measuring right on track at 20 weeks and 2 days. He weighs in a whopping 12 ounces which is right on track for his GA. Crazy to think he is so close to weighing a pound. Dr. Black and the radiologist said everything looks great and we have a healthy baby- thank you God!! His little arms and legs are SO long. I hope he's tall like his daddy and his grandpa who was 6'5. We would have been ecstatic either way but we are SO excited to know we are having a boy! The O'Meara family trend continues...here comes boy #12 in a row!
Here are a few of our ultrasound pics from our appointment. We have a CD full of photos and videos of our little man!
4D image of the lil man's profile and arm. He sleeps just like both his Mama and Daddy do!
Look at those long legs all stretched out!!
These shots sort of freak me out but I figured I would share! Straight-on baby face.
