Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

We spent our lovely day off at the Kemah 4th of July Parade.

For Kemah being such a small place, it was actually a really cute parade! The weather was a little hot but mostly overcast for the parade which really helped to keep it cool.

We got there at 9:45, thinking the parade started at 10, but it actually started at 9 :( We were able to catch the whole thing though, we were just at the very end of the parade route. We thought Dellie would be excited to see Cookie Monster, but not so much :)

There was a cute little brass band on one of the floats.

Thomas the train was also there!

And what parade is complete without the Shriners?!

Quinn slept through the whole thing like a champ.

Dellie, Les and Quinn at the parade. After it was over, we walked down to the boardwalk since it was only 10:15 and we weren't quite ready to go back home yet.

We finished our donuts and drinks outside of Starbucks.

And had a mini photo shoot.

Then the four of us rode the train. It was actually really cute!

We ran into Jeff, Christy and Sarah while we were there too!

We finished up our morning adventure with lunch at Ichibon!! I have really been wanting lots of sushi since I've been pregnant (the cooked stuff only for now though!) :)

We ended our day with grilled burgers, caesar salad and sweet potato fries at the Toler's. We also had cookie cake and ice cream for dessert. Now, I'm posting this, listening to the fireworks outside. Time to lay on the couch for a bit before it's bed-time for us!
