18 Weeks

How far along: 18 weeks and 1 day

Total weight gain/loss:  1 lb this week (10 lbs total) We've officially hit double-digits...

Maternity clothes? Oh yes! I can use the rubber band and be band for most dress/work pants, but I had to retire my jeans as leaving them unbuttoned could have easily become a little indesent... Still wearing regular scrubs though. I bought a few more things this week: some more tanks and yoga pants from ON and a presh pair of navy capris from Zulily.

Sleep: LOVING this awesome sleep. I take a nap whenever I feel like it and am still able to sleep through the night. I have been somewhat limiting my water intake after dinner and I don't usually wake up during the night.

Best moment(s) this week: Baby J was nicknamed "Lipid" by my work friends. If you're in the medical field you'll get it, if not, you may still think it's a cute nickname...either way it's very appropriate for a RD's baby to be named this, lol! Also we got a hand-me-down jogging stroller and bottle sterilizer from the Bonvillians- thanks!!! One other hilight was wearing comfy clothes to work this week during training... Wednesday I literally wore yoga pants a t-shirt and flip flops. Also got to see Magic Mike today with my girls- whoop whoop!

Movement:  Yes! More movement this week, although nothing to be definitive as kicks yet. Flutters, thumps and plucks are becoming more consistent. I found that sitting upright in a chair where my tummy is somewhat squished makes Baby J move more (probably mommy is squishing the poor lil booboo!). Baby J also likes fruit and moves quite a bit after I eat some.

Food cravings: I've been craving Oh's (the cereal) for about 2 weeks now and coulnd't find them anywhere! I went to Randall's after the gym this week and guess what I finally found!!! I will have to thank TB1 when I see him for that! So MAJOR props to Randalls this week as I cannot find them at Kroger, Target or Wal-Mart :(

Anything making you queasy or sick: Disliking anything orange flavored; drink mixes, popsicles, orange jucie...blah! :(

Gender: I honestly don't have a clue, but we only have 2 more weeks until we know for sure! Mama and P are coming with us to our gender appointment and I couldn't be more excited about that!

Symptoms: Feel completely normal, it's so wonderful! Little back aches here and there, but thats what I have Hubby for ;) One problem I am starting to have is very dry nasal passages, not fun. Thinking we are going to need to invest in a humidifier here in the near future...

Happy or moody most of the time? HAPPY!!

Anything new? We have officially decided on a boy's name!!! (We are 1/2 way there on a girl's name). This is SO difficult! You will have to wait though, not spilling those beans quite yet. Also we got our results from our NT Scan- we are negative for downs, trisomy 18 and neural tube defects! :)

Looking forward to: Going home for Kevin and Amber's wedding next weekend and getting to see all the O'Mearas, especially meeting little Ronan for the first time!


Exercise this week: Sunday- weights; Monday- elliptical (40 mins); Tuesday-weights; Wednesday-off; Thursday-Prenatal Yoga (1 hour); Friday-(went out to eat instead...hehe!)

According to Baby Center: Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he or she weighs almost 7 ounces. Baby is busy flexing  arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead!
